My little sculpture, Silenced, received Honorary mention on 150th Open Juried Exhibition organized by Ontario Society of Artists.

This small sculpture was inspired by the global suppression of women, especially in the context of recent events in Afghanistan. The hand clamped over the mouth is fastened with old, rusted nails—symbols of entrenched power and restriction. Antique pearls represent how suppression affects women regardless of wealth or status.
