My mom, with advanced dementia, enjoys  watching me paint. It is therapeutic for her, and for me, it makes it less stressful being with her.

48th annual juried art show (EAG)

5 years, 3 months ago News 0

Exhibit from May 2 to 24, 2012
My little painting “Long way home” (8″x8″) received a Honourable Mention.
Jurors were: Rayne Tunley, AOCA CSPWC, established teacher of fine arts and an Associate and Instructor with the Art Portfolio Workshops since 1986, and Y.M. Whelm, previous director of the Moore Gallery, related projects have involved the artist’s work at the Museum of Modern Architecture and Design, the Gladstone Hotel and Beaver Hall in Toronto.

Jurors comment: “A very evocative and moving little work. The minimal use of colour is entirely appropriate to the subject matter and is beautifully painted, with an outstanding composition. This piece is a visual poem.
The canvas itself speaks of the cold – one wonders – is this painted on a block of ice? Lovely little painting.”
